Baby Update: Week 17

Magnificent Baby Update

How far along: 17 weeks, 1 day
Total weight gain/loss: Haven't got on the scale...
Maternity clothes: This week, I have realized my non maternity shorts just won't button. So, stretch it is for me, or maternity!
Stretch marks: Sadly I think I found one new one. But I started putting Bio Oil on so I'm hoping that will be be better.
Sleep:  One night, I barely slept. I kept waking up and didn't want to go back to sleep because of the crazy dreams. I get up at least once to pee.
Best moment this week:   My niece asking if she could feel the baby. Sadly I had to tell her not yet and explain why. It was just so sweet to hear her ask.
Gender: I have totally thought all along that it is a boy. Only 13 more days and we will see...
Belly button in or out?: Can't tell any difference than normal.
Craving: Squirt soda. My dad and I used to drink it all the time in California. I found it in Target, "and it was mine!" (I've seen Nemo too much lately!)
What I miss: Being able to bend down without feeling weird/exhausted. Mr. M makes fun of me for sitting in a chair to do laundry.
What I am looking forward to: Getting to find out the gender in 13 days!!
Milestones:  I think I may have felt the baby move this week, but not completely sure.

How your baby's growing:
Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
